New York Giants vs Jacksonville Jaguars

The NFL continues on Sunday, October 23, with interesting Week 7 games, and this inter-conference clash is one of them, so make sure you take a look at the best Giants vs. Jaguars sports betting pick and odds.

New York and Jacksonville are entering Week 7 in different moods when they face at TIAA Bank Field; the Giants won three in a row, while the Jaguars suffered three consecutive defeats. The Jaguars are 3-point favorites on BetMGM NY Sportsbook, while the total is set at 43 points. These inter-conference rivals haven’t met since 2018.

Giants are in the zone

The New York Giants (5-1, 5-1 ATS) bounced back from a home loss to the Dallas Cowboys with three consecutive wins, two of which came at MetLife Stadium. After beating the Chicago Bears, the Giants defeated the Green Bay Packers in London, UK, and then secured another win against the Baltimore Ravens in New York. Despite trailing 20-10 early in the fourth quarter, the Giants scored a pair of touchdowns to book a 24-20 victory.

Daniel Jones completed 19 of 27 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. Daniel Bellinger and Wan’Dale Robinson caught those TD passes and finished the game with 75 combined yards on eight receptions. Saquon Barkley was solid on the ground with 83 yards and a score on 22 carries. Defensively, Xavier McKinney and Fabian Moreau collected 17 tackles combined.

WR Sterling Shepard (ACL) is done for the season. WR Kenny Golladay (knee), LB Oshane Ximines (quad), WR Kadarius Toney (hamstring), and LB Azeez Ojulari (calf) are questionable to face the Jags on Sunday.

Jaguars are in problems

The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-4, 2-4 ATS) opened the season with two wins in the first three weeks, but they suffered three losses in a row since. Two of those losses came to the divisional foes Houston and Indianapolis, and the latter was quite painful as the Colts scored a game-winning touchdown with just 17 seconds remaining to win 34-27.

Trevor Lawrence completed 20 of 22 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown. Christian Kirk was on the receiving end of that TD pass, while Zay Jones and Evan Engram contributed with 82 yards on ten receptions. Lawrence did record a couple of rushing touchdowns, and JaMycal Hasty added another one, while Travis Etienne Jr. led all the runners with 86 yards on ten attempts. On defense, Foyesade Oluokun led the team with 12 tackles.

WR Marvin Jones Jr. (hamstring), DT Folorunso Fatukasi (quad), and CB Shaquill Griffin (back) are questionable to play on Sunday against the Giants.

New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars Pick

Although the Giants and Jets have solid defenses, and Jacksonville’s offense is more efficient, there is something about this New York team that is special. They keep going and winning games despite being underdogs in most of them, and I can’t bet against them. The Jaguars have been disappointing of late and including the preseason, they lost eight of the last ten games. It’s likely going to be a one-possession game, and even if the Giants fail to record the fourth consecutive win, I am backing them to cover and stay close in this one.

Pick: Take the Giants at +3.5 (-125)

The Total

Both sides are using the run offense more than the pass offense, and both are among the top 10 in the NFL in that regard. Jacksonville has a better pass offense, though, but the Giants allow only 194.5 receiving yards per game, so I suppose both rivals will probably have a lot of rush attempts in this duel. Under is 23-6-2 in the Giants’ last 31 games overall; Under is 13-3-1 in New York’s previous 17 games following an ATS win, while Under is 7-1 in the Jaguars’ last eight home games.

Pick: Go Under 43.5 points (-120)
