Memphis Grizzlies vs. Brooklyn Nets Odds, Pick, Prediction 11/20/22

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Brooklyn Nets

Another inter-conference clash in the NBA awaits us on Sunday, November 20, so don’t forget to check out the best Grizzlies vs. Nets betting pick and odds.

Brooklyn is back from a road trip and will welcome Memphis at Barclays Center. The Nets are 7-point favorites on Caesars NY Sportsbook, while the total is set at 222 points. These inter-conference rivals already met this season, and the Grizzlies won that game 134-124 at home.

Grizzlies beat the Thunder but lost Morant

The Memphis Grizzlies (10-6, 6-10 ATS) managed to avoid their third consecutive defeat as they beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-110 at home, but that win came with a price. Namely, they lost star guard Ja Morant due to an ankle injury and he will miss a few weeks. Even though they shot only 41.9% from the floor, the Grizzlies dominated the boards (57-43) and made 29 free throws opposite Oklahoma City’s nine.

Jaren Jackson led Memphis with a double-double of 25 points and game-high 12 rebounds, along with a game-high three blocks and game-high two steals. John Konchar chipped in a double-double of 19 points and ten boards, while Ja Morant also posted a double-double of 19 points, game-high 11 assists, and seven rebounds.

PG Morant is out indefinitely with an ankle injury; SG Desmond Bane (toe) is also out, while SG Danny Green (knee) is questionable to face the Nets on Sunday.

Nets edged the Blazers on the road

The Brooklyn Nets (7-9, 6-9-1 ATS) returned home from a four-game road trip in the West with two wins in the bag. After defeating the Clippers, Brooklyn lost to the Lakers and Kings, but they secured a narrow 109-107 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Royce O’Neale scored a tip-in to give the Nets a tight W and complete his first-ever triple-double. The Nets shot 50.6% from the field and kept Portland to 38.7%, and even the fact that they committed 17 turnovers opposite the Blazers’ nine didn’t hurt the visitors.

Kevin Durant led the Nets with 35 points and eight points. Yuta Watanabe had 20 points and seven boards, Joe Harris scored 15, while Ben Simmons recorded a double-double of 15 points, game-high 12 rebounds, and seven assists. Royce O’Neal was everywhere on the floor with his 11/10/11 triple-double, while Nic Claxton added 11 points with five boards and two thefts.

SF T.J. Warren (foot) is out indefinitely, while Kyrie Irving (PG) could be back from his suspension on Sunday against Memphis.

Trends:

Memphis:

7-18-1 ATS in the last 26 road games

0-4 ATS in the last four games following an ATS win

Brooklyn:

5-2-1 ATS in the last eight games overall

4-1 ATS in the last five games vs. a team with a winning straight-up record

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Brooklyn Nets Pick

Without Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, their two best players, the Grizzlies are not the same team, while the Nets are probably becoming stronger for Irving. That said, I expect the Nets to get a W and get revenge for a loss to Memphis earlier in the season. Kevin Durant is one of the hottest players in the NBA right now, and Ben Simmons started playing well, so the Nets really have an advantage in this one. Brooklyn has a better defense this year, and I am sure the hosts will be able to control Dillon Brooks, Jaren Jackson, and co. on Sunday.

Pick: Take the Nets at -5.5 (-133)

The Total

Brooklyn managed to keep its opponents below 100 points on five occasions this season, while Memphis failed to score 100+ only twice. On this occasion; however, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Nets limit the Grizzlies to double digits as the visitors are going to miss firepower on offense. The previous H2H produced 258 points, but you can forget about a similar outcome here. Under is 5-2 in the Grizzlies’ last seven overall; Under is 4-1 in Memphis’ previous five road games, while Under is 8-2 in the Nets’ last ten overall.

Pick: Go Under 224.5 points (-130)
