If you haven’t soaked in all of our helpful advice, you might need a little refresher. Those tapes should all be labeled with dates and clear titles. Then, you need to store the tapes upright in containers.
We could continue with our non-expert advice in this area (we love magnetic tape, but we are not experts in preserving it), but we think you should consult experts: Amy Kohlstedt and Sara Doyle from the Iowa Conservation and Preservation Consortium. They have an amazing tip sheet, which you should read, print out, and then post on your wall. That’s what all the cool kids are doing.
